Simon Bolton
An internationally acclaimed designer and innovation specialist working with the world’s top brands Simon recently joined Edge Hill University as a Professor of Innovation and Associate Dean of Enterprise and Employability. Simon Bolton graduated from the Royal College of Art as a product designer and gained a PhD from the Business School at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Simon has exhibited at galleries including London’s Design Museum and the Pompidou Centre in Paris. He has over twenty years’ experience of helping worldwide organisations and brands including the BBC, BSkyB, Hyundai and Nokia to enhance their customer insight and innovation capabilities. Simon also spent seven years as a global thought leader for Proctor & Gamble focussing on ‘disruptive insight driven innovation’ – helping them to successfully unlock hidden innovation opportunities in European and Asian markets. Aside from his role at Edge Hill Simon is also Chair of the Board of Directors at Birmingham Open Media and is a Visiting Professor for Insight Driven Innovation at Icesi University in Columbia and the Central University of Finance and Economics in China.
